Taxpayers in Nigeria can check their taxpayer ID (formerly TIN) online. Note that the old Joint Tax Board (JTB) website address, tin.jtb.gov.ng, used for TIN registration and validation is now inactive. The new name for JTB is Joint Revenue Board (JRB).
JRB and the Nigeria Revenue Service (formerly Federal Inland Revenue Service) have improved the procedure for retrieving or validating taxpayer ID. Below is the link to the JRB validation portal;

You will require a National Identification Number (NIN) to retrieve the TIN of an individual, or the registration number from the Corporate Affairs Commission for non-individuals such as companies and businesses.
