Individuals in Lagos State have extra time to file their annual tax returns. The Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) has extended the time to file individual tax returns by fourteen (14) days. The initial due date of 31 March 2026 is no longer applicable, while the new deadline is Tuesday, 14 April 2026.
The extra time will enable residents to regularize their personal returns. It is great to know that taxpayers in Lagos State can file their returns online at any time of the day. To begin the process, go to the LIRS website at https://etax.lirs.net.
It is ideal to make good use of the additional time to avoid late-filing fees. To download the public notice on the annual returns of LIRS, click here.
